Bristol Palin is featured in a new PSA about preventing unplanned pregnancy. The video plays on the “What if?” factor, pointing out the advantages she had in life that makes her raising a child at a young age so much easier.
Oh Bristol, I’m glad you realize how much easier it was for you to be pregnant at 17 than the average teenager, but taking advice from you on pregnancy prevention seems a bit trite. I get it - you had a kid and you’d never consider abortion or adoption. I’d rather you focus on telling your own story from your point-of-view and not through the filter of your mother. How would you do things differently (and hopefully you would!)? Put your pseudo-celebrity status to good use and offer something more concrete for us to chew on than “pause before you play.”
